Rotating Chore Division Agreement

{Names}, being in agreement that the space at {address} should be a clean, presentable, healthy, and egalitarian household, hereby agree to the following division of labor:

Chores that affect communal spaces will be considered shared chores and will be assigned on a {weekly/daily/monthly} rotation. Shared spaces include: {kitchen, dining room, living room, bonus room, shared bathrooms, basement, laundry room, porch, yard, garage, attic, hallway, pet room, etc.}. Personal spaces such as {bedrooms, personal bathrooms, etc.} are NOT considered part of the chore division agreement.

The following chores will be considered shared labor and used for consideration in the {weekly/daily/monthly} rotation: {sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, surfaces, stove/oven cleaning, pet care, tidying, mowing, weeding, watering plants, etc.}. Personal chores such as {wiping down shower after use, picking up personal items from shared spaces, washing one's dishes, cleaning out one's old food} are NOT considered part of the chore division agreement.

Each member of the house will be assigned {number} daily chores, {number} weekly chores, and {number} bi-weekly chores. The member will receive new chores upon the next rotation. A buffer of {amount of time} may be invoked before the chore is considered left undone.

Rotations can be tracked via {document/app} in {location}. When a household member has completed their chores, they can mark the {document/app} in {location}.

A household member is allowed to miss {number} chores per rotation without penalty. After that, the member will receive a {fine/additional set of chores/other punishment}. Chores missed due to emergencies, illness, or injury will not incur penalty.

Household members may trade chores if they so choose. Members may request that their chores be covered by someone else in special cases (travel, vacation, overtime), but other members are not obligated to do so.
