Grantwriting Agreement

    

GRANTWRITING CONTRACT

This agreement is hereby made between {Client} from {Company}, and {Grant writer}, who is working freelance as an independent contractor. {Grant writer} joins {Company} for assistance with {specific project}.

Both parties agree upon the following terms and conditions:

• {Client} agrees to pay {Grant writer} {amount} on a {rate} basis until {date} or until {project} is completed.
• {Grant writer} is an independent contractor, and not an employee of {Company}. He/she therefore understands that he/she is not eligible for benefits and is responsible for reporting income and filing his/her own taxes.
• {Grant writer} and {Client} stipulate that this agreement does not imply any other relationship between the two, and that any additional relationship desired by either party must be outlined in a separate agreement.

{Grant writer} agrees to join {Company} for the purpose of discovering and applying for grants on behalf of {Company}. {Grant writer} will perform the following duties for the company. The grant writer does not guarantee a result, but will do the following in good faith and with utmost confidentiality:

• Seek out and pursue grant opportunities based on the needs and qualifications of {Company}.
• Write grant proposals for opportunities agreed upon by {Client}.
• Interview {Company} team members for the purpose of training and information-gathering.
