Event Interpreter Contract

_____________________________ (hereafter "Client") and ____________________________ (hereafter "Interpreter") hereby agree to the following:

The Interpreter will provide translation services for {event} on {date} from {time} to {time}.

The Interpreter will translate between {Name} and guests at the event, and will be available for translation needs for those who require interpretation from {language(s)} to {language(s)}.

The Interpreter will be responsible for providing all certification and licensing required to staff this event. The Interpreter agrees not to attempt translations for which he/she is not certified. The position is considered a contract position-therefore, all tax filing will be the responsibility of the Interpreter.

The Client will pay the Interpreter {amount} for the event. If the Interpreter's services are required after the agreed-upon time, he/she will be available for {amount} per hour.

The Client will be charged a retainer of {amount}. If the Client cancels later than {date}, the retainer will not be returned.
