Band Agreement

____________________________ (hereafter "Party 1"), ______________________ (hereafter "Party 2"), ____________________________ (hereafter "Party 3") and ______________________ (hereafter "Party 4") hereby agree to the following:

All parties desire to be part of the {genre} musical group, {Band Name} (hereafter "The Band"). All parties agree to participate as equal members and to be respectful, honest and communicative with regards to the creative and business elements of the Band.

Rehearsals will take place at least {frequency} at a time that works best for everyone. All parties are required to attend unless other arrangements have been made in advance. A party who misses {number} rehearsals without advanced notice will be subject to termination from the Band.

All members are required to respond to logistical emails, texts or calls within {amount of time}. This includes correspondence about rehearsals, performances, equipment changes, sound checks and music alteration.

The Band agrees to promote creative diversity and to experiment with instruments, recording styles and lyrics.

Party 1 owns the rights to {song titles} and may play or record them independently of the Band. Any profits made by recordings or performances of said songs independent from the Band will belong to Party 1 alone.

Party 2 owns the rights to {song titles} and may play or record them independently of the Band. Any profits made by recordings or performances of said songs independent from the Band will belong to Party 2 alone.

Party 3 owns the rights to {song titles} and may play or record them independently of the Band. Any profits made by recordings or performances of said songs independent from the Band will belong to Party 3 alone.

Party 4 owns the rights to {song titles} and may play or record them independently of the Band. Any profits made by recordings or performances of said songs independent from the Band will belong to Party 4 alone.

{Song titles} belong to all members of the Band and are considered a collaborative effort. Any member may independently record or perform said songs and retain all profits therein.

In the future, writing credit for individual songs will go to {The Band as a whole/those who wrote the music and lyrics/anyone who contributed}.

Sales from any recordings that the Band make together, including royalties, go to {the Band fund/primarily the writer/everyone in the Band evenly/etc.}.

Sales from live shows go to {the Band fund/everyone evenly}.

Sales from merchandise go to {the Band fund/everyone evenly}.

Band expenses such as {sound equipment, recording sessions, recording equipment, musical instruments, performance spaces, etc.} will be considered a mutual expense to be paid by the Band as a whole. Funding will come from {source}.

Band expenses such as {sound equipment, recording sessions, recording equipment, musical instruments, performance spaces, etc.} will be considered an individual expense to be paid for by each individual party as required.

A member may choose to leave the Band at any time. If so, he or she retains {rights/royalties/items} and forgoes {rights/royalties/items}.

The Bands will make business decisions {through a manager, as a unit, directed by one member}.

In witness to their agreement to the terms of this contract, the parties affix their signatures below:
