Lobbying and Political Involvement Policy

_______________________ (hereafter “Company”) and _______________________ (hereafter “Employee”) hereby agree to the following:

The purpose of the {Company Name} Lobbying and Political Involvement Policy is to avoid conflicts of interest, maintain the reputation of Company, and follow all relevant laws and regulations.

The Company respects the right of Employee to be politically involved and make contributions using their own time and money.

Lobbying and Political Involvement is defined as: political contributions, grassroots lobbying, lobbying, running for and holding local office, and {additional definitions}.

The Employee agrees to the following:

• The Employee will not engage in lobbying, fund-raising, campaigns, or related activities while “on the clock” or on Company premises. Such activities must not involve the Company name.
• The Employee will not make contributions to political parties, campaigns, candidates, PACs, etc. beyond what is allowable by law. Employee recognizes that contributions in excess of {dollar amount} will be reported by candidates and committees under {FEC, FPPC, Political Reform Act, etc.} laws and likely made public via searchable databases.
• Employees wishing to enter public service by way of running for or holding office agree not to seek roles that could constitute a conflict of interest with Company of its Code of Ethics.
• Employees who are appointed or elected to public office must {refrain from related activities while at the office/seek approval from Company leadership}.
