This contract is established for the purpose of outlining and agreeing upon our rights and responsibilities to each other.
We are both at least 18 years old, mentally sound and entering into this contract of our own free will. Neither of us has been forced, coerced or put under mental or physical duress.
We agree to pay all expenses concerning rent/utilities/internet/cable equally or to establish a joint checking account for that purpose.
We agree to treat each other in a loving, respectful and kind manner. If either partner feels coerced, threatened, intimidated or forced in any way, they are free to leave and find a safer environment.
We agree to respect each other's privacy by giving the other space when asked, by not listening in on phone calls, by not opening each other's mail and by not reading each other's messages, texts or emails.
We agree to respect each other's differing beliefs and values and not to try to force conversion on each other.
If the relationship ends and either partner wishes to move out, we agree to work together to find a suitable person or persons to sublet the space. If the relationship ends we vow to treat each other respectfully and not to harm each other in any way.
If a pet is purchased, we will agree beforehand how responsibilities will be divided and who will keep the pet if this relationship is dissolved. This agreement does NOT cover the introduction of children (birth or adopted).
